Jeremy had to peel Carter's hands off the bar in order for him to wave. He pretended to be brave, but he was a little scared when the wheel got going....
I turned 30 on the 23rd and Jeremy got me a new digital camera!!!! I had the kids pose for a picture in order to test it out.
On the front porch later that night.
First thing Saturday morning, he asked if he could go back on the ferris wheel. So, here they are again.
Madeleine and Kate came on Saturday and loved the train too!!
Jeremy ran the 5 mile race on Sunday morning. Here he is with the kids before the big race.
Carter, Leah and I waited to see him finish. Way to go Daddy!!
The parade was later in the day. We watched from a friend's front yard along the parade route. The candy was plentiful and the parade was actually pretty cool this year, much shorter and not so hot!! Here are the kids with Aunt Anna...

Whoa--those are some crazy costumes in the last picture! What a great festival to have in your backyard! :) I am impressed that Carter did so well in the Ferris wheel and do not blame Leah one bit for being scared of the train. She knows these people travel from town to town setting up these little fairs and could lose pieces along the way. Ha!
What kind of camera did you get? It looks like it takes great pictures!
That looks like a very fun festival! Carter was brave to ride the ferris wheel - I never did like that ride! I'm sure by next year Leah will be ready to ride the train again! Congrats to Jeremy for the race and a belated Happy Birthday to you!!!
That looks like so much fun! That picture of Leah is classic. It reminds me of all of the Christmas pictures that babies have with Santa Claus. :-) Congrats, Jeremy, on the run! And Happy Belated Birthday, Jen!
