Here they are on the first day, just before we got in the car.

This is in front of the school....couldn't get the best picture, as there was someone waiting just behind me.
We've been saying all summer that when school starts and we get back to a normal routine, Leah can give up her nap. She does love her nap but stays up way too late because of it. I wanted to get her back to a normal bedtime. So, we started her out just taking one every other day. Here she is at the dinner table after no nap...She fell asleep next to her plate of food before even eating a bite.
Then, two days later, here she is after pre-school. She unbuckled, climbed down, turned around and fell asleep on her carseat while I was unloading Elliot. So, maybe we'll start with every third day instead. Pre-school takes a lot of energy!!!
So far, Leah's favorite activities are snack time, playing on the playground and painting. She really likes her teacher, Miss Ellen, who also taught Carter two years ago. Carter says his favorite things are the toys in his new room and he also enjoys snack time. How about some learning?!! :-) They are learning a lot though. They have a bible story every week and now Carter is learning to write his name with lowercase letters, not just uppercase. Hopefully he'll be ready for Kindergarten by next fall!!! We're off to a great start!

Oh my gosh, Joel and I laughed so hard at those two pictures of Leah sleeping! I am so glad you grabbed your camera and got the shot of her on her carseat. What a hoot!!! We have struggled with that, too, with Ryan not having his naps. We started out with every other day, which really helped. Now he can go several days w/o a nap, though. I'm glad the kids are both enjoying school!
