First Days of School

Carter's first day of 1st Grade was Wednesday, August 24th.

 Breakfast on his first day - waffles with syrup. I'm sure there is milk there too...just didn't make the picture. :-)

 Jeremy stayed home so he could drive him to school and then went to work from there.

Carter was so excited to ride in the truck!!  I followed in the van so we could walk him into school.  Now that he's a big first grader, we didn't all end up going in.  Jeremy just walked him to his room.  He's such a big kid now and hardly said goodbye...just headed over to his locker. 

They had balloons out front to welcome everyone back.

The next day Leah had her first day of school, Thursday August 25th.  Kindergarten had a staggered start. 10 kids each day for three days so it would be less overwhelming for them.  Her class has 29 students! Here she is dancing around the kitchen before the first day.  She still sucks her fingers a bit but says she doesn't do it in school.

Leah loves her book bag.  We found it at the gap outlet after searching and searching.  She really wanted pink butterflies, which I thought would be easy but ended up being quite a challenge to find.  :-)

One last hug before she went in.  Leah could not wait!!! She was so excited for the first day, smiling, smiling, smiling.
